Took my Uly in for it's last prepaid service (20,000 miles). It has been acting a bit odd since homecoming, but not too bad. Turns out the exhaust actuator is bad. This will be the third one on my bike. I've now had two go bad on me. I know they have redesigned these things a couple of times. Has that helped? This doesn't leave me with warm fuzzies knowing that I've had to replace it twice in 20,000 miles. Wayne |

Lube your actuator cable when you lube your throttle and clutch cables, and make sure it's adjusted properly. 15k and my '06's is going strong. |

The latest rendition has metal gears in it. That seems to have fixed the problem. |

Just swedge it open. Which is a great option if you want a HUGE flatspot in the lower RPM range. At least, that's what I got on my '06 when I did it. That lasted less than 100 miles. Back to stock, and VERY happy about it. |

My 08XT is wirer open and runs just as good as it did before. Mine took a crap at 11000 miles and was replaced at the dealer. When I got home I wired mine open and it will last forever. |

Mine's been on the fritz... thinking about getting a silencer that doesn't require it... I heard a city x here while visiting vancouver that pushed me over the edge. Whoever that was, I want that same pipe! |
