Hola Ricardo. I think this kit is labeled incorrectly. This spring retainer helps release the unsprung energy of the shock spring. This gives the rear more sag, or in other words, the spring is more soft n spongy, which may help if you're heavy enough to weight it down. Otherwise it'll be the same height in back. Unless you put a spacer inside the shock to limit travel, that shock will still have the same height. |

If you don't mind spending some money and you can scrounge up the parts, using XB12SS suspension components is the best way to lower a Uly. I fitted mine with XB12SS rear monoshock and kickstand, and get this, 1125R front fork legs, and it works great! Nice ride and handling. |

2.4" lower than a stock X. Also, standard height Firebolt/Lightning forks work too and may be cheaper. |

I have this lowering kit from "team Metisse" in Germany. https://www.metisse.de/index.php?id=2760&L=1 It replaces the lower spring retainer on the rear shock. It is a solid machined piece, very well made and the folks of "Team Metisse" are great to deal with. It lowers the bike by 20mm, made a world of difference for me, went from tip-toeing to almost flat footed without changing the suspension performance. |

Hunn, did you have to get a shorter side stand when you installed the kit? If so what did ya use? Cheers. |

Since I didn't lower the front forks the original side stand works fine. |

Lowered my 2010 Uly X by installing NOX handlebar offsets made in Minn. so I could move the fork tubes up about 7/8 of an inch, lowering the front end the equivalent. Lowered the rear end 1" by replacing stock shock & spring with Uly XT shock and spring. The bike feels very different, better handling, more secure in the curves. It's now very close to the perfect motorcycle for me, now my 21st bike. |

ROX, not NOX as I mistyped in prior post, handlebar offsets were the maximum for the cables and wires without replacing them. Factory seemed to have a good handle on which offsets work for each bike. |

What height risers are the max for stock cables? 2" or is there a lower one? Thanks |

The ROX Speed FX risers, model 3R-P2SSM are angle adjustable, so a max. of 2" rise, but with the angle adjustment, you can reduce the net rise of the bars how you like them. It is the max. rise without changing out cables and possibly wires. I would have liked more, maybe a total of 3" setback to relax my arms even more, but these were a nice improvement in ergonomics, let alone allowing me to lower the front end to match the lowering of the rear with the XT shock. The changes were huge improvements to an already great bike. http://www.roxspeedfx.com/ is the co. site. |
