Had my 06 Uly in storage for the winter. Kept the battery on a tender. When I try to start it, all I get is a loud clicking sound which according to the manual is the battery with a low charge. But the battery seems to be fully charged, and the bike will not start with a booster pack either. Anybody got some suggestions?

Check the grounds. Battery, not coffee.

I'd say odds are very good you have a bad battery.

Pull the battery and take it to an auto parts store or the dealer and have it load tested. A bad battery can sometimes dead short under load, in which case you can't jump start the bike either. They can quickly tell you if you need a new battery or not.

Sounds silly...but take the seat off and try to start it in the dark.

You'll see the spark if you have a loose wire.

Concentrate on the battery itself, the ground points, and the starter area.

If all else fails (and I agree it does sound like a resistive battery connection given it wouldn't work with a booster pack), try pulling the clutch in and thumbing the starter.
I chased an intermittent starter clicking for ages and it eventually turned out to be the neutral switch. The neutral switch was resistive (the amount of resistance varied) and was dropping enough voltage to make the start relay drop in and out on some starts.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I did a voltage test on the battery. It reads 13.4 volts when it's disconnected and 12.4V when it's connected with the ignition switched on. Dropping down to 12V fairly quickley. I'll take it down for a load test. At least there is one in stock about an hour from me. So if the battery is the issue. I will be up and running today.

Glad to report it was a dodgy battery. Got confused coz the lights were not bright as, it wouldn't jump from a booster and the battery was showing some charge on the voltmeter. Not only did the battery fix the problem, it fired up first time. Thanks for the replies.
