Last Saturday, I avoided a collision with a car in the twisties just west of Denver. My bike sustained some minor damage, since we both ended up sideways in a deep rut next to the road (OUCH). I ordered all the parts, except for the rare frame pucks. I drove to High Country HD dealer just off of I-25, north of Denver (Fredrick, CO) and order everything that I needed, and even a tall Orange and Black seat for a buddy. The only thing that they could not get for me was the Frame Puck, that sacrificed itself for my knee. However, HCHD did give me a listing of HD dealers that had these pucks. Today I called Bumpus HD in Murfreesboro, TN (knowing that they are a Badweather Sponsor) and ordered the pucks. I have been throughly impressed by the professionalism of both dealerships. Both parts guys where quick to help and the entire process was relatively painless. Now I need to heal-up, get the bike put back together in time to ride to SW Colorado. |

I travel all over, and have stopped at Highcountry H.D., Met "Jammer", and he is an AWESOME guy. Without knowing me, and knowing I was not a customer (yet), he gave me the tour of their facility, including showing me one of the bikes that made the PIKES PEAK race. He knew I was from Michigan, and bought my ULY, from Greatlakes H.D.. He had stopped there a few weeks earlier, and met Anthony, (the Owner), of Greatlakes. Both dealerships have my appreciation, and business from now on. |

I bought my bike from Gainesville HD/Buell and don't have any complaints about them. I haven't really had that much experience with them one way or another, but my limited experience has been positive. What I really wanted to mention, as silly as this may seem, is that I like calling them. Why? Because when they answer the phone they still say, "Gainesville Harley Davidson Buell." I like the fact that they still identify themselves as a Buell dealership. I was calling around trying to find a dealership I could get my bike into for service and they were the only dealer around that still answered the phone saying they were a Buell dealership. So, Saturday I am driving 150 miles each way to have them service my bike. |

I understand your feelings, Dyna. The Buell dealers have that special feeling about Buells and they express it. The signs stay up, their websites include it, and as you point out they actually 'say it'! Cool. Thanks, and let us know how it goes. |

Danbury HD/Buell is my primary dealer, (they are a former sponsor). I have dealt with them a lot over the years, overall very happy with them. I once crashed a block away from them, and limped over there 5 minutes before closing and the techs came out and got my bike mostly fixed so I could get home. |

Thanks, Froggy. Very cool. Actions like that are special. They are now on my list. I'm thinking about Laconia and Americade for next year. I'll try to get by Danbury HD/Buell, for a 'courtesy' visit only, I hope! |

The good old days, when they had Buell stuff on the shelf including the Dark Horse sliders (last summer) Now its all HD crap on that wall. If you do stop in, see if Jeff is around, great guy, plus news travels fast. I once crashed and bent a clutch lever and mentioned it on here. I then called up parts department Me: "Hi, I need a clutch lever for an 06 Uly". Lee the parts guy: "Hey is this Frank? We have one in stock and already had put it aside for you" Me: *silence* |

Very cool, Froggy! Great memories but . . . ah, what am I saying? Great memories are great and who knows what 'might be' a year or two from now? Your the last guy I need to tell to keep the faith! That was a good looking wall! |

So true on the good dealers that you all mentioned here! I'm glad there is support for the Buells out there. I've owned the uly for only three months now and I truly love it. I was sick when I picked up the bike and saw the damage. I even told it that I was sorry. So far the Badweather Sponsors have scored a 100% in my book. |

Gateway Harley Davidson/Buell in Saint Louis has always been great with me on things. Heck they still have a small department of Buell stuff on the floor and just got some new shirts/sweatshirts in. Lauri is great and really goes out of her way keeping things hopping to get my parts here quickly. I had most the staff working on getting my new cases after the accident. I can't wait to stop by Bumpus when I go to Memphis here in a couple months! |

Thanks guys. Keep em' coming! Pensacola has been on my route numerous times and that is good to know. Williamsport is now on my list as well! Much appreciated. Lets hear more about HD/Buell dealers with good 'service' departments for Buell's, or about good indy. Buell shops. My dealer, Goe HD/Buell in Angleton, Texas, just south of Houston, is a Buell friendly shop. Froggy did a LOT of work and put forth a lot of effort in putting together a map of dealers who were signing the new Buell contracts but some will be good, some bad, some indifferent, etc. Lets hear about those who really step up and are competent in servicing our bikes. I haven't used the Santa Fe, New Mexico HD/Buell dealer but I have visited them, and spoken at length with the Buell enthusiast Service Manager, and staff. They are definitely on my list. The Albuquerque dealer signed the contract and may be okay as well but I'm using Santa Fe, just 50 miles north, if a need arises! |

I was a little disappointed last time I was in Dayton and stopped in at F&S. they have a great racing history and I figured them to be one of the big Buell supporters. You really couldn't even tell Buell existed with the exception of a few Buell hats in the clearance section. I asked about Buell merchandise/parts and was told at the counter that the best place to get them was ebay/craigslist. Really sad |

I bought my first Buell on Ebay early this year. I live in San Diego and have easy access to American Sportbike. The first time Al did not have what I needed I was a little anxious calling our local HD dealer because of how I heard others were being treated. The guys at the parts desk at San Diego Harley have been really helpful. I don't feel like a red-headed step-child when I ask for help. I feel like a valued customer, even if they are having a hard time filling my order. I really appreciate their good service. I also had a very good sales experience with Tom at Bumpus HD. When I needed to return something he went out of his way to make the process easy and refunded my money exactly like he said he would. I really appreciate his customer service attitude. |
