I lost the ground to my headlight. the ground at the connector where everyone does the headlight mod is open. Is this ground wire one of the 4 that attaches to the ground on the front of the steering head? If yes, I might just run a new ground because I run two 35w HID's the same time. |

I just wanted to check there was not something switching the ground. I hate to rip into the harness, even though it's inevitable but I will wait until other wires start to break. Man that harness sure flexes where it comes out of the frame guide at the head. |

Yes, It's one of those grounds. Don't run a ground to the battery, i's not necessary and just clutters up the wiring.. The stock ground location is fine, you just need more flexible wire. http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv141/ronmold/U ly%20flyscreen%20grounds/?albumview=slideshow |

I did a repair similar to Ronmold's a few weeks back. I picked up a piece of #8 marine wire and some heavy ring terminals from our local Eastern Marine store. The stock grounding system sucks just about everywhere. |
