Has anyone tried the Air Hawk seat cushion on a Uly? seems like a good product just looking for some feedback.

I don't have one, but I spent 12 bucks on an REI inflatable camp seat pad that is simply the cats tits.

It's a perfect size for a motorcycle seat. If you don't want it on, just deflate it and roll it up.

I haven't needed it yet for the Uly, but you may want to give it a try.

I have an Airhawk I have used on my BMW, but have yet to use it on the Uly.

It works well for longer tips, and does make the seat time longer as well as more bearable.

I plan to use it on the Uly on our trip to memphis next month.

I have both the rider and passenger Air Hawk pads. Have used them on a Saddle Sore 1000, and on a 1,700 mile vacation last year. In my, and my wife's opinion an excellent product. It took a little trial and error to get the inflation so it fit us the best. I will be heading to Homecoming next week, and won't think of leaving with out it.

I have a rectangular one. Lovin' it for longer trips. I usually ride about 300 miles before using it. It is also great insulation against heat.

Not so great for short trips or for crankin' the twisties. I don't attach mine to the seat for that reason. I use it when I need it and store it when I don't.

This is a good read:

I have the Sheepskin and Beadseat. I plan on taking both on my long ride later this month and swapping them over the course of the long days.

Where do you get the beaded seat?

You've got a couple of choices that I know about for finding bead seats. First, there's beadrider.com.
http://www.beadrider.com/

If that turns out to be too expensive, there's always Wallymart or the like, and a pair of scissors and some nylon thread - cut and tie to fit...

If it's any help, I have beadrider seats on both my bikes. They're both kind of slick, and on the Uly I tend to "gravitate" forward towards the air cover, but a little leg tension is enough to keep me off it. A little more leg tension is enough to keep me back toward the rear of the seat (as long as I remember to keep up the tension). Stopping brings me forward. Then again, that's not a bad thing in my case, since that brings me to the lowest point of the seat, and thus closer to the ground for my 3 point landing (2 wheels and a foot). This time of year, the gains way offset the minuses.

I have a beaded seat, and I really don't like it. I originally bought it when I had the Corbin on my Concours, but gave it to my neighbor when I bought a Russell. I took it back when I got the Uly, and still didn't like it.

My 08 seat is fine for 200 miles or so, but I found I had nasty pressure point issues beyond that. I bought the medium Airhawk seat pad and I absolutely love it. I'm not a huge fan of the mounting straps, because the Uly seat being as wide as it is, they seem to stretch too much, but the seat pad as a whole is just about perfect. It's not as good as a Russell, but for $150 as opposed to $600 or so, it's well worth it.

Good feedback, I will be picking up one as soon as I can "rathole" some extra dough, seems like every time I turn around another expense comes up. This time it's a bee hive in the wall of my rental house in AZ. the bee man said $800 to $1000 to get rid of them! HOLY S***!

We have an Air hawk that my wife uses. She tried the gel sheepskin but did not like it. She loves the Air Hawk.

I have used it on occasion and I like it for long distance riding. I have my butt conditioned for shorter distances and back roads.
