Sweet! Where'd you find it? I'd be very interested to hear a report on the differences in the two of them once you get some miles on it. BTW- where'd your chin spoiler go? |

Got the bike from Duluth HD (MN).. I assume they are the ones who armor-alled it! Wish they had not done that.. its actually on the treads. It is technically used with 15 miles. I took it out for the break in run (use the motoman method), so I took the chin spoiler off while changing the oil. It ran well during the break in. I have already notice some subtle differences on how things are constructed (besides the ones already documented). For example.. - Gas overflow (in the same area) is now routed a bit lower so it won't drop in a helmet hanging on the hook. - Negative battery terminal is grounded in a different location. - Looks like the connection for the fuel pump is now under the seat and much easier to get to. Probably lots more little things... Oh and I really like the blacked out engine parts. (Message edited by gamdh on May 27, 2010) |

Great, another badwebber got it! I was thinking about going to see it as I heard they had that one up there. How many $$$? |

Black actually gives off heat better than bare aluminum so the black engines really are "cooler". |

Good stuff! I couldn't get another X as they only imported XT's into Australia for the last couple of years but I did get an '09XT during the run-out to share the shed with my old'06. How do you find the 'mind of it's own' start-up with the IAC? Congratulations - they are addictive aren't they? |

Funny... the first time I started it, thought to myself.. thats different! It does 'start' differently....seems to do its job though. |

What is different about the IAC? Is it different than the 08 models? |

Strange to see a black un rusted muffler Yea, Buell probably finally came up with some really durable coating this year and it'll never rust. Seems like they've addressed every other complaint raised over the last 4 years, except maybe the headlights. I'm interested to know if the bike runs/performs noticeably better with the dual O2 sensors and updated ECM. |

I have an 09 and the pipe has some rust at the back. I still have a can of BBQ paint from the 1125's stock pipe. I've put a few hundred miles on it and I really like it. Fell over yesterday playing in the mud. Stood it up and rolled behind the shop and cleaned it off. I'm liking having to decide which bike to ride each morning now... Zack |

I finally got a Uly also a few weeks ago. The first Buell, an 06 xb12Ss was traded for an 08 1125r. Then in the great deals in October, I got a 1125cr. A few weeks ago I found an 09 xb12xt and traded the 08 1125r for the Uly and I don't miss the r at all. The uly is probably the best all around bike I've ever had. The cr is the most fun, so it is nice to have both. |

So close, yet so far away. I was hoping to test ride that bike before you called in and claimed that awesome looking bike. Congratulations Gamdh. |

Two Buells, yeah I can touch the ground, but not flat footed. It is about the same as the cr, but the extra seat width makes it a little taller. That was why I looked for an xt, I would never be comfortable on a standard Uly for everyday riding. Plus the bags are awesome to have, no more backpack to go to work. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. |

I picked up a 2010 X and sold my 06 and I was shocked the first time I rode in the dark. GREAT SCOTT: the lights are much, much brighter than on my 06. It is such a shame that this bike was killed right when it got dialed. As far as engine fuel map goes my 2010 runs smoother and never pings like my 06 was prone to due. It still has to meet EPA regs. |

Dumb question-what does IAC stand for? I know what you are talking about, I'm just wondering what the technical term is? So far the only thing I miss about my '06 is my traction hand grips and the Drummer SS. |

Windrider- you know, now that I think about it, another Badwebber who upgraded from an 06 to an 09 Uly said the same thing some time ago. It sure would be nice to know what parts are different- it might be another easy upgrade to the older Ulys. |

+1 Hughlysses. I also do not like the way the '06 lights are hard set for pointing. Lo to the ground, hi to tree top. If you adjust one the other is atomaticaly adjusted. I raised my lo so it would point down the road, now the hi literaly lights the tops of telephone poles. |

I just looked in the '06 vs 10 parts manual. Bulbs are the same, but the head light assembly is different. '06 Y0421.1ADA Headlight assembly , right hand traffic '10 Y0721.6AC Headlight assembly, world, left & right The '10 actually has the position bulb in the assembly. |

I think that the reflector part is different and actually throws the light out better. |
