I borrowed a friend's 2000 Road King this weekend to see if there was any more passenger room for my girlfriend. I have an '06 Uly, got it before I met her. After 120 miles, I can unequivocally say the Road King was the worse motorcycle I've ever ridden. I'm 64, riding since I was 12 (yes 12!! on an Indian Papoose). The Uly has more room for the both of us, I'm 215 pounds and she's (yea right). And you all know about the handling and everything else that makes that XB12X so great. Anyway, is there anyone out there making a more comfortable triple pad cover?? Her only complaint is the standard triple tail's a bit stiff on her back. Also, is Buell (through the morons at HD) still offering the Sportsman hard bags?? On this short 120 mile ride today, I saw, maybe, 150 bikes. I could count on ONE hand the non-Harleys. It's the Honda CB350 of the new Millenium!! |

My Daughter got some seat time this weekend. She the tail was too hard. I read someone here made a cover out of some kind of foam they found at walmart. |

Here is the one I made for the wife. She liked the rest before I got the bags, but now it wont flex enough, so I made this out of a $2 leather coat from the salvation army and $2.50 of foam rubber from a hobby store.

Thanks Kmb and everyone, got an email about Cee Bailey, they make a $50 memory foam cover as well. But I really like your $4.50 handcrafted one!! Problem is if I made one I'd be using duct tape and foam rubber. I'll stick with Bailey's THanks again! |

I have the buell one, and about the same kind of load situation. Never had any complaints about the pad, and it does look kind of cool. |

The Buell one is no longer readily available. You may be able to find someone that still has it in stock (doubtful) or find on on ebay. I never knew Cee Bailey made one. Looks nice! http://www.ceebaileys.com/buell/ulyssesbackrest.ht ml |
