I ordered the Palmer Products Spot Light Kit. Delivered quickly and everything I needed was in the kit. Took me about 4 hours and 4 beers to install last night. Looks good and really lights up the road.

I tied the Spot Lights into my Hi-Beams. I would like to change this and run them on a separate switch. Anybody use the switch blank on the right control housing? Is there room in there to run a switch?

The right side control hi-low headlight rocker switch looks like it is the right size and would fit the blank left side control. I can't see where that headlight switch is available as a separate part. Any ideas?

Thanks.

---Bob

I bought the control pod for throttle side on the XT with the heated grips switch from American Sport Bike (I have an X w/o heated grips) and have used that two position switch to integrate aftermarket grip heaters and fog lamps. I just don't have a hi-lo selection on the grip heaters. One click turns on my driving lamps, two clicks leaves my lamps on and turns on my heated grips.

Its a $56 add-on but I like the OEM look, the ease of the wiring harness connectors and the fact that I wasn't having to figure out where to drill/mount/install switch hardware.

Great shots - glad you like the kit.

Lights are 2 x 55W Halogen.

Can you post some information on how you wired the lights. I too bought the entire kit and an Autoswitch. Do you just need a power feed from the battery? If so, how did you route it?

Thanks for any help,

Mark
