Happened twice this week, cold mornings on the interstate. I accelerate to pass a cage in the left lane who is doing the speed limit after I pass, roll off the throttle and the engine quits. First time I pulled off to the shoulder, flick the cut off switch and the beast starts right up. Today I flicked the cut off switch while moving and again started right up. In the four day I rode it happened twice. I'm not that concerned because I'm not being stranded, and it may be hard to find being so intermittent. I'm on an '09 stock Uly. Thanks for the input. I plan on checking the ground and terminal connections this weekend. |

Symptoms are consistent with a bad BAS (bank angle sensor) switch. Fairly cheap to replace IIRC (~$20?), or you could jump it out at least to see if it's the problem. |

Bank angle sensor. Easy fix. Get it done before it cuts out in a bad place. |

Is this a recall item? I think I remember reading it somewhere. |

It was a recall on '06 and early '07's i believe. The repair was to relocate it to the space behind the seat latch. Subsequent models have the up grade from the factory. |

They were supposed to do the BAS recall on my 06 but obviously forgot. Since the Comfort Kit came along I don't worry about it anymore. |
