Anybody have a part number for an auxiliary wiring harness for the emergency lights on an '06 Uly? How about a cost? Trying to set my bike up for funeral escorts and got an emergency light kit off of ebay. Everything was included except the auxiliary wiring harness and for the life of me I can't figure out where the siren mounts to. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a different bracket on the frame where the siren mounts too.

I want to say this is the part number:
L2246.1AU SIREN MOUNT ASSY. Retail Price:$70.75

Unfortunately I see many wiring harness related part numbers, so I am not sure what you need without looking at pictures in a parts book.

I'll buy a book newer than 2003 one of these days

I thought there was a different frame with a mounting lug for the siren.

No, the V shaped engine mount (bolts on, right front side) is different, not the frame.

I have a copy of the XP install .pdf, but it doesn't include the main wiring harness. Someone with H-Dnet access can do a kit inquiry on the Emergency Kit, and it will list the main harness IIRC. Either that, or it's listed in EPC....I know I've found it a couple of times, I just don't have access to those areas anymore.

Thanks to all for your help. I ordered an auxiliary harness today from Eastgate HD who where very helpful in looking up the part. I have the lights mounted, now they are just waiting to get some juice.

Please keep updated on this. Doing the same thing on my '06. How hard was it to install? Any complications? Expecting my kit this weekend. Guess it's a trip to stone Mtn Buell for the additional parts.

I hear you - I take part in PGR escorts and the lack of hazard flashers is a little annoying. Couldn't they have thought of that?

Which extra harness did you have to get besides the kit? Is it one of the listed ones above?

It'd almost be easier to get four Whelen TIR3 lightheads, with built-in flash patterns and synchro wires (so all the lights flash 'together'), wire them up, mount them (small footprint, 2 screw mounting to a saddlebag or hose-clamp mounting to a fork leg) wherever you want, and put a single switch somewhere. Far from a 'factory' install...but LED's draw so little power all you'd need is a fuse, a switch, and some wire - no relay needed.

I've been thinking of doing just that on the Uly, so I could have 4 ways....

I bought the emergency light on ebay for $280, list at HD is $2660. Spent another $170 for the wiring harness. Bolted everything up in less than 4 hours. Still have to order the part for the siren but that can wait.

Had to order the main harness. Not hard to install. Routed the rear harness out the right rear edge of the plastic tail. Had to change to clear. Right now have two front (handguards) and two on rear box. Gonna add two more each later. You just have take your time and route the wires carefully. Pictures to follow
