All my parts are finally here to do the 08 triple clamp/cumpfort kit/heated grip, etc and I am wondering if anyone has managed to use the VistaCruse control with the Buell heated grip kit. From what I can see, it doesn't look like it will be possible, but I sure would like to keep the cruse control. TIA, Dennis | ||

I've heard someone say they got it to work... not sure who it was tho. Most others have said they couldn't get it to work. I'd just play with it till you get totally frustrated, then give up. Maybe you'll find a way! | ||

Don't listen to the naysayers!! The universal Vista cruise works just fine with the Buell heated grips. If I remember correctly, you just have to use one of the two rubber inserts that come with the throttle lock, instead of both of them, or use the thinner instead of the thicker one, or something like that. Here are a couple crappy pics of mine:   I have the cross bar going above the heated grip switch, so I can't see the whatever it says above the switch, but it doesn't bother me. There is less room on the grip than without the throttle lock, but that is a minor inconvenience compared to not having a throttle lock at all. |
