So I've been really tossing around the idea the last few days of selling my Uly, well really my whole collection. Maybe the winter is getting to me, but Im just getting to the point that they just dont bring me the joy that they once did. Maybe I just need to head south with the trailer and unload the bike once I get out of snow country and take a ride. |

Or take your trailer, head east, and leave them at my house |

You have obviously lost your mind in this winter's edition of cabin fever! Get on an airplane fly to a warm sunny beach, hang out until you get bored. Then go back home, and smack yourself on the back of the head for ever thinking that selling the Uly was a good idea! It is obviously the fumes from being inside too much! |

Go and try on some different bikes. Like the change? Sell the Buells and replace with what tickles your fancy. Felt like something was missing? Better keep your Buells. |

I just watched the weather forecast. Harvey said that Friday, the high is going to be in the mid to upper 40s. Yah-Hoo!!! I'm riding to work on Friday!!! There's a slap of reality for ya! |

eh its not that I think there is a better bike suited for me. Ive played that game in the past and thats what lead me to Buells. I dont know, the money I stick into them doesnt seem to match the return these days. |

It is winter! Find a new Farkle, you will be alright. The return will never be matched if you are not riding it. I'm guessing you have it farkled to where you want, and it is as clean as a whistle. Leaving you to sit there and look at what has become an investment in financial terms rather that excitement and fun.....right? Get on the plane and get the heck out of there for a while, you don't need a new bike, you need a vacation where the sun is shining(so do I). You will spend a lot less on a trip to the Bahamas than a down payment or trade loss on another bike. |

Chris, Get an ATV or a snowmobile for winter. I have a Rotax powered Can-am Renegade. Fun in the dirt and snow. see profile. I had a 2006 Uly, traded it on a 1125R. I just purchased a 2009 Uly on 12/31. It’s been a long year and ten months without a Ulysses. I’ll never make that mistake again. But I know how you feel, its cold here in Pennsylvania. I have not even started my new Uly yet. Maybe this week, forecast show a few 40 degree days coming. |

Chris, Having read your profile, I see you had your share of issues with your Uly. Hopefully all the gremlins have been removed to allow continued and happy ownership. In the mean time, I'd get a snowmobile. Global warming has skipped Wisconsin. |

Ejc- Yeah I have had my share of issues with my Uly but it is part of the ownership of it. Its frustrated me multiple times but I have an unconditional love for that bike and that is really the only bike I dont think I could ever part with truthfully. That bike and I have been through more adventures than one bike should ever have to go through but it has not let me down yet. Mid week its suppose to be nice here in WI. I may take it out if the roads stay clear. I need a ride for sure. |

I get depressed about everything this time of year...long grey dark days in the NW. Heading for AZ. Make no decisions in the winter. Wife just told me that! |

Ejc- There was something about losing the rear cylinder during a blizzard in Kansas that really strengthened that bond for me. Or maybe its been the multiple bailouts on the trail as I still try to learn how to ride a bike as tall as me |

Chris - Since we share the same name I feel I have to say: Don't give up, buy a snowmobile and enjoy the winter as well. I recently moved from MI and loved winters (if you have something to do, ergo: ski, snowmobile). Keeping busy in the winter months will make the time pass faster. |

Or fly to Portland, we'll buzz out to the coast (two Buells, no waiting), and brainstorm about AlCan. It's wet and cold here, but ridable. confession: I, too, have thought about selling the Uly. But I'm recovering. |

Someone just posted a race trailer and race bike in the classifieds, I think someone needs to be banned from Badweb and go on a nice long ride to reconsider..... |
