It is the same as a V-rod.HD batteries are very good. Not sure who makes them for HD,but they seem to last longer than most replacement batteries.

HD and Buell batteries come from East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc in Pennsylvania

I got one of these...when you get the box.. its a DEKA AGM from East Penn. You can also find them at some autoparts stores with a different name.. but same battery.

Pretty sure both of these links are from the 'BatteryMart.com'

Here is an older thread with some info as well

East Penn as a page you can get contact info for 'exporting' .. might be able to tell you if there are any dealers in Spain

I put a deka in my bike. Something to note: On the HD batteries, the terminal surface where the cable touches the battery (where bolt passes through) is cast to the point that it is flush with the side of the battery.

On the Deka I bought (books say it was the correct one) this terminal is recessed about 1/8" lower then the side of the battery. If the cable comes up the side of the battery, you end up needing a couple of washers between the cable and the terminal, or you have to re-route the cable so it approaches the terminal from the side (that is how I did it).

If this don't make sense, I could post a picture.

An advantage to an East Penn/Deka ETX-14 is the double-threaded terminals, it allows more attachment for accessory leads:

I've been very happy with mine and it was only $75, don't know if they're available in Spain though...

My battery came with 2 brass spacers just for that purpose. They are pictured in xbimmer's first pic.. on the red plastic.
The are designed with a flat side so they fit perfectly.

The Westco batteries are really good. I like the Odyssey dry cell but I had to customize my battery box to get it in there, the Westco fits right in and last a long, long time. My brother had one in his bike for over seven years, amazing.

Is there any Odyssey batteries that will fit in the Uly? I hear they have the best battery life.

Cheers,
Adam

IIRC... the Odyssey will fit dimension wise.. but the positive/negative terminals are reversed compared to the stocker.

I don't know of an Odyssey that will fit the Uly without modifying the battery box. If they make one please give us a part number. The Westco is the same technology as the Odyssey and performs just as well and it will fit the stock box. The main difference between the Odyssey and the Westco is the Odyssey is made in Missouri and the Westco is VietNam. Here's the Odyssey in my Uly with modified box:

Tootal...
I looked a while back... when I did I just got the physical dimension.. it appeared by the measurements is would fit .. but I never actually tried it as I didn't want to deal with the reversed terminals.
