I could search for this, but I'm feeling lazy. ECMSpy is a tool I should have (do have VDSTS, but...)

As I recall the guys (German?) that developed ECMSpy stopped development, but I'm sure I can get the S/W somewhere. But the cable...what do you suggest?

Thanks for any help.

Yep American Sport Bike has them, and there usually is one or two on ebay. Software can be found if you do a Google search, I found an old link on another Buell forum.

BadWeb sponsors forgive me, but this guy here's been making them for a while and, well, mine was better than I would've done on my own. The seller burns a copy of ECMSpy to a disk for you along with some maps. I haven't used it, though, as I already had my own copy.

I had intended to make my own cable and save a few bucks. I ride right by Mouser Electronics where the RS232 cables are made, so I called and asked them if I could stop by and pick one up and they said no, that I had to order it and pay for shipping. (!) So, that pretty much killed the economics of it for me.

Joel Hinkle in Albuquerque was making them and selling them on ebay. Ping me and I'll shoot you his email.

There was never a charge for downloading the ECM Spy program. But you do need a cable for tuning, be it Direct Link or ECM Spy. Your appolige is accepted, but please understand that several of us have spent some of our own time and money to develop Buell MAPs for several different types of tuning programs. I do get paid for what I sell, but have been known to hang on the phone for as long as it takes to answer callers questions at No Charge. That's the other reason why American Sport Bike as well as our shop are BW Sponsors. terry@jtsperformance.com
