Can ECM spy be run on Windows 7 Starter Edition without problems? I am looking at a netbook with the Windows 7 Starter Edition and would like to place my ECM spy on it if possible. Anyone done this successfully, or do I get one with Windows XP which I know will work? Thanks |

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have it on my Win7 Pro laptop and it works. As far as I know the difference with starter is that its just missing some programs and features, but the "core" is still the same. Here is a comparison chart half way down, I don't see any feature required for ECMspy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions |

Thanks for that info Froggy. As I recall, running ECM Spy on Vista was problematic (maybe not?); so I guessed it would be the same on Windows 7. Is ECMSpy operation "plug and play" on Win7? I am also looking for a new laptop and this information would be helpful. On a related note, has anyone made ECMSpy work on a Mac? |

It works fine in Vista, I recall some old threads there was an issue with the driver for the cable, but that since has been resolved with the newer drivers. |
