I'm still on my '07 Uly. In fact, 22 months into my 24 month warranty (with 15,000 miles) ... I only know that because yesterday I took it in to figure out where the oil leak was coming from that I started noticing. I figured it might have been coming from transmission case seal, but no... it's somewhere up in the rocker box area apparently, so out comes the engine.

Glad I'm not paying for that one...

I didn't get one till 08 because you were all to busy to evangelize and proselytize the truth you had found. Your all culpable of the masses that go to the grave in ignorance.

Wow I coulda had a V8, Think of all the poor suckers riding lesser bikes.

"With all the new faces on BB&D, I wonder how many folks---like moi---purchased their Ulys in 2005?

Any "original" owners still around? Still riding the same bike? If I hadn't hit the deer I'd be at the 80K mile mark...sigh."

Purchased in Sept 2005. Still have the signed windshield. Like Dr_greg, I hit a deer and totaled mine.

06 purchased 1/23/06. Nearing 73k miles. I still marvel at what a great bike it is and how satisfied I am with it. I constantly look around for a possible replacement (only as a contingency- I make things last. Still driving my original owner 83 F-250 6.9L Diesel pickup) and so far nothing else beats it.

Yup nuther ridgy didge bike here too!06 build 07 model, similar to Spectra, after totalling my then 06/06 model, all been good, only done a rear shock seal (under warranty),and only now developing a small leak from the rear rocker cover seal, good news is I just put on a new staino slip on muffler from an Aussie builder by the name of Dennis Foran, very nice, not as harsh as the Jardine, and more throatier than stock.
Phil
PS:06 was oroiginal for Australia,as we did not get them in until 06......so I'm an original.

I bought one of the first 06 Ulys that came to my state and now have 27K happy miles on it. It is for sale.

I got a 2010 Uly X to last the duration until Buell comes back into production in 201X?

Brought one of the first ones out. I received an EB autographed windscreen w/base on purchase. #51/100.

Sold the Uly after 52,000 miles and now own a '09 XB9SX with about 50 miles on it.

Still have my '06, love every mile.

Couldn't bring myself to ask Erik to autograph it at Last Ride. Didn't seem right to me. That...and there weren't any clean spots LOL.

If you have some time on your hands, here is the whole discussion of what happened after the deer strike.

Interestingly, I just attended the School of Engineering commencement yesterday and was again attired just like on the first page of this thread.

purchased my 2006 XB12X in May 2006 and still have it. It's the best motorcycle I've ever owned and I plan on keeping it forever. It might be hard to get parts for in 10 to 15 years, but I'm going to stock up on the basics.

Like clutch cables, Don?

if I'm going to be replacing my clutch cable, it takes two! One for me to screw up and another for the dealer to fix it correctly!

so the answer is YES, plenty of clutch cables.

Still have my 06 Uly, purchased Jan 06. Tag says the bike was made in Aug 05.

Only about 5,500 miles on it - I don't get to ride much due to family stuff.

I purchased my 06 ULY in Jan 06, 2 weeks after coming home from my first deployment. The money I saved to buy a CityX was spent on the ULY as soon as I saw it. From what the dealer told me it was the first one in AK and for sure the first one sold in Fairbanks, AK. I now have 60,000 on it and have ridden it in 42 of the 50 states. The ULY has given me as many stories to tell as it has miles. I love the bike and it loves me back. I hope to be able to buy another Buell after I return from my current deployment. Until then the ULY will do me well at least for another 60,000.
