Hi everyone, I'm seriously thinking of returning to the Uly fold. Last February, I almost parted company with my Uly when I was thinking of buying a brand new Tiger 1050. I lost my deposit on that, but kept my Uly. Then, in June, I gave in! My butt was boiled and my nuts were roasted for the last time. I gave in and bought a second hand Tiger 1050! I immediately took it on a tour of France where it behaved impeccably and returned excellent performance and 57.6 mpg over 2000 hard and fast miles. Over the past few months, Kitty has given me sterling service and lots of fun............ But it's not a Buell, something was missing...... I tried to put my finger on it, but I couldn't. I carried on riding, but it just wasn't as involving as the Uly. It didn't have that almost feral quality when you open the throttle. Dammit, what could I do??? SWMBO thought the Tiger seat was comfortable, but hated being perched up there in the Stratosphere behind me. The Tiger has a gem of an engine, pulls smoothly from nothing all the way up to OMG!!!!!! But......... it's not a Buell. I almost felt justified in my choice when the Mother Ship announced it was ceasing production, justified, but very sad. Then on Saturday, I went along to the dealer I bought the Tiger from........ And there was "my" Uly sitting in the corner!!!! She had new boots on, (Pirellis instead of my beloved Michelins), but she was sitting there whispering sweet nothings in my ear........ I called the dealer today and he has offered to take the Tiger off me and give me £500.00 to take my Uly back!!! Watch this space!!!!!!!!!!! |

Put the comfort kit on Uly and you'll be good to go. |

so tell me what made you go back to the Buell. I actually went and looked at a Tiger last week. When I'm done with the Uly I think Tiger will be my next bike. K |
