You can make a thermometer dipstick to measure the oil temp in the swingarm. There is a few threads about it. |

I think the pressures that these engines pump their oil at is lower than "normal" engines so the sender would have to be at a lower range than your typical autozone thing. |

Here's how to make an oil temperature dipstick http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/461500.html I've found that these hold temp calibration perfectly and don't move off of it. |

Thanks everyone but I was looking for a ready made product. I found one at Dark Horse. |

when searching for something for your Buell, check out American Sport Bike. If Al doesn't have it, you don't need it! http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/9256.html |

I installed an oil pressure gauge on my '92 Ducati 900SS after the idiot light quit working. Used a gauge and 250psi Aeroquip hose from an industrial pneumatic/hydraulic supplier. Super-easy. Oil pressure on the Ducati was in the 40-70 psi range, however. Buell engine---as you note---is somewhat lower, but easy enough to get a gauge in that range. I'd seek out the "industrial" components and avoid the "auto parts store" stuff. I've thought of doing that on the Uly; just never got round to it. --Doc |

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a setup like this, with one gauge showing both oil temperature and oil pressure. (I know this one shows oil & water temp. but you get the idea)
