OK, like a couple of things on my Uly, I got my CeeBailey windshield used. I'm a cheap bastard, and I'm OK with that LOL. Anyway, it didn't come with any washers or anything like that. I have it mounted securely with new, larger head screws and washers between the screw head and shield...but I want to take a poll and see if other folks have less vibration in the shield (and more importantly, the instrument cluster) if they use washers between the shield and the bike? At idle I can see the gauges, headlight nacelle, ignition switch...all of it shaking up and down. I just want to try and keep from fatigue-flexing the instrument panel mounts... |

I used some rubber washers for awhile.... then I got lazy and now I just fasten the C.B. to the bike. I never paid that much attention to the shaking.... you know the deal, once you start rolling , it all but goes away. Besides, H-D is gonna keep parts for us for the next 7 years..... |

I just mount my Cee Bailey with the fasteners on the bike. I don't notice the shaking because the buffeting turbulence is so bad, my dental work is coming loose. My GS buddies tell me I need lower deflectors on my front shocks. Thinking about fabricating a set today. |

it doesn't require any rubber washers, just fasten it to the motorcycle where the stock flyscreen was with the six screws. I've replaced the original screws bought from the Home Depot. Cheaper than from the dealer. |
