hi guys, i have an 06 Uly with a remus exhaust, airbox mod etc...which runs nice but feel not half as smooth as they later 09 uly i road a few weeks ago or an xb9s i rode last weekend...as i already have a right air scoop - i dont want to splash out and buy the complete comfort kit, but i am considering getting the latest ECM flash done as per the comfort kit. has anyone who has a remus done this? will it smooths the running out a bit? i do like the full power my Uly has so will an ECM upgrade loose some of that... i have scanned through the huge comfort kits threads, but couldn't find the right info... any advice / experience is welcome... thx Lars |

The reflash is not compatible with an 06, only the 08's and 09's. |

+1 Froggy. No reflash for DDFI-II bikes up to 2007, only for 2008 and 2009. You have a remus, and airbox mod...with a stock ECM? Good lord, find a race ECM. I put one on my '06 with drummer and modded airbox / K&N, and it is MUCH happier now. If you can't find one, send me a PM; we located one for a customer just this weekend. |

That is the stock ECM. If you can obtain ECMspy, use that to tune your bike rather than a Race ECM, as the Race ECM was not intended for your setup. |

Check your front engine mount,I've heard reports of that causing vibes. It looks like your seat may be rubbing your rear ecm connector, could cause a problem in the future. Some have added a spacer block on the rear ecm bolt. (Message edited by mnrider on November 03, 2009) |

Is the Rubber block in the picture correct? Mine is mounted on the right hand side or rear ecm bolt. |

The spacer block comes stock on the front ecm bolt, maybe yours got moved to the rear bolt Ksc. I tried putting the stock spacer on the rear bolt but its too tall,my seat wouldn't latch. Some have cut down a stock spacer. I put a longer bolt in the rear mount with a nut on it to hold the seat up. |

The reason, I'm asking is I've had all sorts of Check Engine, Skip Spark errors especially when the bike is loaded down, (Two Up). The error goes away after I fiddle with the ECM connectors. I'm thinking,I should do what you did and put a longer bolt to keep the seat completely off the ECM? |

Ksc- you may want to check to see if the connector part of the ecm is broken away from the body of the ecm. |

I just looked at it and the rear connector pulls away from the the ECM when I wiggle it. |

Lars - Not to add to the wrenching burden...but you might find the comfort kit a worthwhile mod. I added the kit to my 08 - but DIDNT do the reflash. (nor do I intend to) Still made a significant difference. It runs much cooler and (don't want to anthropomorphisize to much here) the Uly seems 'happier' as a result. |
