Author Message   Steve046 Posted on Friday, October 09, 2009 - 05:42 pm:        I have an 06 Uly and I'm coming up on the 30k service. I need to reset the TPS as part of the service, and wanted to ask everyone's opinion about what hardware/software to get. I used to have ECMSpy (I still have the cable), but after a laptop crash, it's gone (and I wasn't smart enough to keep a backup copy). Now that ECMSpy is gone it looks like the options are: 1) DirectLink 2) VDSTS 3) take it to the dealer All I do is a TPS reset for tuneups, so the most basic setup will work. As I understand it, DirectLink is cheaper, but is locked to one bike and VDSTS is more expensive but will work with any bike or car. Also, if I remember right, Gunter asked that sites not host it. As for HD legal pressure, there seems to be several stories related to why ECMspy was discontinued, but I doubt HD had much to do with it.
