"Why 2010 ULY still has rust prone muffler "

My estimation as has been the case for other such frustrating issues, is that the quality assurance manager [unkind words redacted].

Is it cost that prevents Buell from producing stainless steel mufflers?

I'd be willing to spend extra for a factory SS muffler.

My original FZ1 stainless exhaust was a beautiful piece that still looked like new after 100 k km. If Japanese manufacturers can do it, why not Buell?

Also, what about the 1125 muffler? Same rust problems or not?

Has anyone ever asked Erik about the rusty muffler? If so what was his response? Inquiring minds would like to know. Or what has BCS ever said about this?

I should of asked him when I saw him at NJMP a few weeks ago, but I didn't even think of it.

Honestly, a rusty muffler is low on my list of concerns. If they had to pick between a new muffler or the comfort kit for 2010, I think they made the right choice. Heres to hoping for better luck with this next year. : )

I can't tell if my muffler is rusty, mud is too thick. Shut up & ride!

If you want a show bike, by a chopper and some chrome cleaner.
