My 10yr old daughter and I rode a nice little overnight camping trip to central Utah (Goblin Valley). Turned out to be about 500 miles in 2 days. She loved it! We had an Autocomm system that worked well for talking and music. She keeps talking about where we'll go for our next trip. I said "somewhere with a motel" at which she balked, "no, we have to camp!" Youth.

Well as long as we're putting up pics of the young'ns here's my aforementioned youngest:

That was a couple years ago and she's finally finished growing so handling most bikes shouldn't be a problem.

I'm proud as all getout of all three of mine, they've turned out to be great young adults. Gotta get involved when they're young and stick with it.

I quit riding when I had my first kid (still can't remember why) . Back in '06 went to visit my oldest Navy boy in Wash. state. He had a CBR600 (Navy guys all have bikes) which he rides around the very scenic N. Wash. area. I took it out for a spin and that was all it took. Next spring I bought a KLR650 and a DR350 to trail ride with my youngest (14). Soon bought another DR350 as the KLR was a bit heavy and too new and shiny for trail bashing although I did several times. Middle son (19) got his M/C lic. so we could street ride together. This last spring I wanted a bike to hold wife & I and the KLR was not it so I got the Uly. This picture from early May has my oldest (23) and his GF (she rides..show horses!), on the DR350. He was home on leave before his second deployment to Iraq,, Middle son (20) and youngest (16 ) on the KLR just before I sold it. And Ma & Pa on the Buell. Definitely a Kodak moment with the whole family on bikes.

Youngest (with the hair) took a M/C beginners course and got his license so we could ride together this last rapidly waining summer. His practice bike for the course was a DR200 which was very much like his DR350 so he aced the driving part. He now has a Ninja 250, it's a riot to drive (for about a half-hour) and so easy to handle, great first bike. Way cooler to pull up to school on a Ninja than a DR350.

I have no idea how those things got on my feet! I go barefoot until the snow flies (recall I caught some flack for mounting tires barefoot). Musta been Mrs. Greg's...she wears the dadgum things.
