Washed the bike yesterday and wanted to remove the windshield to make it easier to clean. read the owners manual and it basicly said you just pull it off. I tried. The top two mount popped right out, however the bottom two wouldn't budge. I stopped pulling because I didn't want to break anything. I saw the bottom two fasteners had small hex detent, so I got a hew that fit and tried to loosen or remove that way to no avail. What gives, pull harder? |

Well youve got the T with the larger shield so yes the two bottom need to be removed with an allen key |

And in order to do that, you need to remove the six screws that hold the colored flyscreen onto the bike. Inside, there are hex nuts on the other end of the screws that hold the flyscreen on. The screws were a recall campaign for the tall-shield bikes, some were levering off the bikes with wind force so they went from pins to screws. |

That is not to stop one from being able to clean under it though. Did you notice you can get a wash mitt or sponge in there with the top two popped out? |

ZG tinted screen and no need to clean under as you don't see all the debris there |

I was so focused on the "remove" part earlier...but I have to ask. You can *wash* a Uly? Never knew that....lol |

You can wash a Uly but I wouldn't make a habit of it. That just makes them lazy. I have found my front end gets light dirty or clean... so I opt for dirty. Mine WILL get a bath tonight as I just got back from a long weekend at the outer banks soaking up salt. |
