If anybody is looking for some soft motorcycle luggage, this Canadian outfit is having a sale right now. 30%-40% off. http://www.motopakluggage.com/luggage.html I have the GT Roll. The only problem I had was the rain cover blew off somewhere between Scotland and England. Apparently it is a good idea to bungy these covers It is surprisingly good quality for the price. I have also just ordered on of the tank bags. And no, I have no affiliation with the company! Cheers. |

I bought a tank bag for my tuber from them a few years ago. Very nice stuff and an amazing value for the price. |

I was looking at the smaller of the two tank bags how/where do the straps fasten on the Buell? |

My tank bag should arrive this week. I would think the front straps would fit like the Buell bag. Not sure about the rear strap though. I will let you know how it fits. That small bag looks really small though. Cheers. |

That stuff looks first class and only wish I had a decent reason to buy something. That expandable universal tailbag looks great and on sale for only $45. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on September 22, 2009) |

All the big ones look magnetic on the tank bags. I am shopping for a big expandable with straps. Also...the saddle bags strap across the seat which would irritate the passenger to sit on. Last...looks like the tube bag needs a wide rack to allow 2 up room. The single tail bag would work on a Palmer rack I think. Your thots? |

If you want to use a magnetic bag, you can glue magnets to the underside of your airbox cover. |

Hey Eulysses, the only bag I have used is the GT roll. I had it on a K1100LT which has low saddle bags that do not really provide the tail bag with any support, as it does hang over the seat a few inches. One bonus I find for this bag on the Uly is the straps for the backrest. I use this and 2 straps on the front and it is secure. The backrest straps would probably work well with the palmer rack. I have noticed on the Uly though it is a bit of a pain to access the side cases with the GT roll in place. I usually just keep my camping gear and stuff I don't need in a hurry in those, so it's not such a hassle. If I don't camp and stay in a motel . All I have to do is remove one bag. I'll to get a picture of the roll un my Uly. If I can figure out how to make it small enough to post. Cheers. |
