I got laid off at Mancuso H-D on Tues. 8/11. I took Wednesday off and I got hired Thursday at Gulf Coast BMW/British USA. Mancuso had recently dropped their Buell franchise and were never supportive so no great loss. I've been having a gas with the BMW's, Triumph's, and Ural's. I've had some very interesting discussions with folks in a quandry about a Uly or a GS. Yesterday I met badWebber, ScottK, who rides a 2007 camo Uly among his other bikes. Today I'm talking to a hotshot driver from Durango who told me he met Dr Greg in Cuba, NM recently and how the doc had sold his Ninja riding son on the ULY. I might have to do an ABC comparison soon with my 2007 Uly, a 1200GS, and a Tiger. For that matter I could/should throw in the 800GS probably. I've tripled my daily riding time each direction, I'm working with better bikes, and more open minded people. Life is GOOD!! Cheers, Will |

So I guess this is why my Uly was sent to the 290 location when I took it to the North Main shop for work. If this is the case I just need to take it to them. Guess my days of doing business with Mancuso are coming to an end. I was really pissed when they replaced all the parts guys about a year ago. I got to know them all pretty good. |

Hey Will547 congrats on the new job. Sometimes a changeup is a good thing. Sounds like it's going to work well for you. Looking forward to the comparos. |

Congrats on your new job. Cliff has done well for himself with Triumph and BMW. I finally got a day off and stopped by Central and was told you were no longer there. Looking forward to your reports. Best of luck. Trey- Central has issues. I live 3 miles from Central and go to Crossroads(290). It's a shame there isn't a stronger Buell presence in Houston. |

Woodreaux, we are neighbors then because that is about how close I am to central too. I live off of Rossyln and Woodcrest. Central really screwed up when they let Walter , Rodney and some of the others go in parts. I even got help from those guys when I had problems with my BMW R100GS. |

Will, keep us informed about the F800GS. I have been kicking around the idea of getting one |

Greg sorry I missed you I still want to pick your brain about some West Texas riding! Mancuso Central has botched the Buell relationship from the gitgo. I was a fairly successful salesperson there in the mid-90's when they were first offered a franchise. When asked my opinion I nearly went through the roof, having been a Buell fan for as long as I'd been aware of them. I thought Buell was H-D's avenue into the greatest untapped segment of the market for them. I was sent to all the Buell schools and relayed all I was taught to the powers that were. All I can say is "in one ear and out the other". And then they complain about why it isn't working out. Harley has always seemed to me to be expert marksmen but only when shooting at their own feet! Hopefully they'll utilize their acquisition of MV Agusta will allow a proper setting for growth and support of Buell and it's riders. Just my $.02 your mileage may vary! Cheers, Will |

Trey- I am over by the Heights and agree with you about the parts department guys they let go; to me they were stand up/top shelf guys. Will - Don't pick too hard. I am not sure what's going on with Central and they don't either. Too bad. I don't have a home computer so I use my phone a lot as a substitute. I have been working a lot of offshore this summer; 1 day off here and there. Things should settle down in the next few weeks. Just means I will have to ride the Uly over to Cliff's for a visit plus I have been wanting to come over there for a while. Do not point me toward a GS |
