I need the Part # for a Uly Headlight Assembly (US/Canada)) - the one I have from my '07 parts book doesn't seem to be current - perhaps there's a new one. Thanks John |

For some reason the description changes from "right traffic / domestic" to "headlight - world left and right"...but the new number is Y0721.6AC and list price is $116. |

Yeah, "world left and right..." is Y0721.6AC Is it that they now have one headlight assy. for both left and right hand traffic? EDIT: Y0421.02A8B HEADLIGHT ASSY,RH TRAFFIC,CAN/DOM/CAL $167.00 Which one is for the Uly? . (Message edited by johnboy777 on August 21, 2009) |

Here we go- According to IronMachine, Y0721.6AC is the new part number, replacing Y0421.1ADA for the headlight assembly. . |

Y0421.02A8B is '09 Firebolt. And Froggy....most any .02A8 is an XB-R. Ending in an A, B, C, etc - as you know - is just a supersession / new version of the same part. There are some exceptions - like a fan, it has an 02A8 part number...because it initially came out on the first gen XB chassis and kept the .02A8 number regardless of its place on a Uly, or Lighning, or 'bolt. .1AD is XB-S; .1AK (and in some cases .3AK) is Uly (maybe a denotation between the DX UlyX and the FX UlyXT?); .1AN looks like XB-Ss. I'm getting dizzy. lol. |

Actually .6AA is 09 12R. As you said, some stuff is carried over from previous years or models and has the same part number like the fan, but something like the headlights obviously is different. Oh and ._AK is UlyX, _AU is XP, and _AV is the XT. The _ changes by model year, 1AK is 06 UlyX, 2AK is 07 UlyX, 3 is 08 UlyX, 1AV is 08 XT, and so on. Some reason the 03 9R was 02A8, and then it went to the above style for years after that. Just imagine how much easier it would of been for me if I didn't have to collect a handful of part books! |

Weird. I use EPC (electronic parts catalog), and the 02A8B number comes up as only '09 Firebolt in the applications column. I'm still dizzy. |

Yes because its a carry over for the last 7 years, with 2 revisions giving the "B" designation at the end. If say tomorrow they came out with a new single light setup similar to the tubers but for the new Firebolts, it would be part number Y0421.8AA You will note that the 03 XB9R Belt is G0500.02A8_ while the 04+ models are G0500.1AA_ with the _ being the revision, I think they are up to like H now or something. |
