Jammin- Nice shots! Thanks for posting. The news release for the 2010's also mentions a "fan shroud" on the XB's. You didn't happen to get any shots showing the area around the fan, did you?

I'm kind of thinking it'll be some sort of plastic panel to keep the hot air away from the bottom of the seat, kind of like Odie's heat blankets.

I'm guessing UK bikes have a cat and so this kit will not be sold in the UK?

Secondly, it looks to me like the new software will be worthwhile for all XB riders, regardless of whether the comfort kit is fitted.

Surfsofa- according to the downloadable catalog, they've got kits for both cat and non-cat bikes.

Not loving the location of the front 02 sensor. I'm sure it is optimally placed for performance but it "sticks-out". Assume it is probably narrow band like the others.

What I'd surely like to know is whether the oil temps at the swing arm increase, decrease or stay relatively the same. I sure hate to buy that kit and then see my oil temps increase. Hopefully someone with an oil temp dipstick will let us know after they receive the kit. If the engine gets hotter, how would that be a good thing? It's a wait and see thing at this point.

Real interested to see this "fan shroud" and what it accomplishes.

When you take the bike apart and look at the room between the shock and the fan there is just not mush room at all. The duct/shroud I fabed and installed using the thermotec had to be flexible to fit under the shock and still have enough height to create room to redirect the fan exhaust out the back and down instead of up into the shock and seat.

I could see how Buell could form a nice piece of plastic to do the same thing. In any case I have had this duct.shroud on for several thousand miles and it just plain works to send the hot air out and rearward.

Does the 2010 uly have more power? I would thing that with 2 02 sensors, the fuel metering would be more precise and efficient. Tim the tool - man has it right - more power!

I think the dual O2 sensors will help low speed performance more than anything.

But they only added the 02 sensors to meet emission requirements and prove to EPA it is leaannnnnnn. Sure would be fun if Buell would set these V twins up so we could install a Thundermax EFI with wideband O2 sensors, but I'm probably just dreaming. The days of tweaking post OEM motor installation are quickly disappearing.

The addition of a second O2 sensor is to run the motor leaner, adding heat by the way, not adding power. Prior to, Buell probably erred on the side of richness which is safer and cooler and can give better throttle response.

Here is the RSS with added sensor in front of it.

The fan shroud underneath the seat
Buell has already part numbered all the changes for kit retro fitting. I notice the under-seat deflectors of 2008 are no longer on the bikes.

The pipe shield must route some moving air off your leg that gets really heated moving across the header pipe. You can see it here below the RSS.

Jammin- thanks for the photos. This:

is exactly what I'd envisioned doing a long time ago. No need for the deflectors because all of the air is now forced out underneath the tail assembly. I'll bet that keeps the seat a lot cooler.

I have a cut-down heat blanket from Odie on my Uly fixed kind of the same way as this molded plastic piece, except I allow some air to go out of the side openings. This probably works much better.

That thing will also keep the heat off the rear brake fluid reservoir.

Please stop showing all the good stuff that the '10 Uly has.

I'm still trying to sort my '07s problems, and everyone keeps finding reasons why I should just swap over.

Florida - quit avoiding the inevitable. If your 07' had been trouble free, or had simply remedied problems, you wouldn't even be thinking of '10 options. I'm considering it, even though I have a relatively trouble free 08. I particularly appreciate the larger 3 bearing axle. No more WBA (wheel bearing anxiety) Tho I'm hoping my new KBCs have cured the problem.
