I live near Ft. Riley, KS(central KS)and was wonder where the best place to get my 06 ULY worked on. I know that there is a shop in Topeka, Lawarance, Wichita and Kansas City. Does anyone have a preference one over another? KC is a 2.5 hour ride for me and Topeka is 1 hour. I just got this bike 2 weeks ago and the last owner had the HD shop in Rapid City, SD install a race ECM, aftermarket exhaust, and high flow air filter. I did notice that there were holes drilled on the left side of the airbox to improve airflow. My question is, what does the race ECM do over the factory one? I have noticed that when the bike is cold it surges alot and never runs smooth under 2000 rpm. Any incite to this would be helpful. I have read several of the threads about ECMspy and did download the software but didn't realize it was in German. Guess I downloaded the wrong one. I don't have a cable anyway to use the program any way. Does anyone have a service manual in PDF? Thanks for all the help. |

Call Bruce Zimmerman at Topeka Harley-Davidson Buell and tell him I told you to call. >>Does anyone have a service manual in PDF? There are some out there but they (except the 1997 S1) are all pirated copies. You can easily order the genuine manual from any Badweb sponsor or American Sport Bike. Court |

I have had mine serviced at Gail's by Dave Dave. That is really his name. Any way the service and parts Dept. have been great. Thanks for your service. |

Whatever you do don't use Alefs in Wichita. I have nothing good to say about them. |

You have the correct ECM Spy program. Open the program and click on the second icon (the gear and wrench) which is program options. A third of the way down is a box to select language. Select english and apply and you're all set to be able to read everything. |
