Hi, Been reading through the site for a couple of months now and finally decided to sign up. Ive not got my Buell yet but should be getting it in a couple of weeks, just waiting for some money coming through As you could probably tell by my name im gonna be getting the XT model, I decided on this model over the X because i doubt i will do doing much if any off road riding. I took one out for a test ride and did nearly 300 miles on it only stopping to fill up the tank. Im from England in the UK, is there many users on here from there? David |

Welcome, David! I'm not from the U.K. (I'm in Massachusetts), but I do ride a red XT. You're going to love the bike. You'll find yourself taking the long way home, looking at maps to see where you should ride to next, and just sitting and staring at your bike when it's parked. Don't worry about the silly grin you'll be wearing whenever you ride the bike. After a few days, the pain in your cheeks goes away; the grin won't, though. |

Once you get your bike, ENJOY!! Look up the little quirks that these bikes have so your not surprised at it. In a full face helmet the silly grin can still be seen by all, people will notice. Check out this site. Lots of good add-on's for your "new" bike to come. http://palmerproducts.auto.officelive.com/buellxb1 2x.aspx |

Holy cow, a 300 mile test ride. 15 miles is the usual around these parts. I went to a local HD dealer to test the XR1200 and they had to come along on another bike and the guy wanted to turn around and head back after about a mile and 1/2. I couldn't believe it since it took longer for the guy to wheel the damned bikes out to the dealer lot. Really kinda pissed me off considering how he told me we'd be going about 10 or 15 miles just minutes before. It wasn't the Buell dealer who usually just hands me a key and let's me go out on my own without even signing anything. |

How do, I'm on your side of the pond- North East of London. I don't post on here that often but do check in now and again, it's a very useful site- check out UKBEG too, plenty of events going on if you want to ride with other Buellists. Good luck getting your XT, I look forward to seeing and hearing about your exploits on here soon. |

Don't let Hoon understate himself - he's FAMOUS! Been in magazines and such, and has the gnarliest Uly I've ever seen. I was in London and the greater Birmingham area for a week last fall...if I had seen a Buell, I probably would have lost my mind. Glad you guys are over there! |
