You know there is that thing called the gas light that should come on with about 30 miles range left |

I also set my odometer #2 on refueling and make a mental note on fuel. When I was circulating the United States I always tried to guess the mileage I'd go on reserve. Doesn't take long to get it nailed down within a couple miles. My Ulysses is probably the best sport-touring platform I've ever ridden . . . . fuel, ride, smile . . .repeat. |

Funny Court...I don't see "wash" in that cycle anywhere. LOL. Nice to be home to your Outdoorsman bags (and latches) again? |

>>>He also mentioned a Windscreen recall on the '09 XT's anyone else get a letter on this? This is the recall you are referring to. Letters went to 624 owners the week of October 27, 2008. If you did not get one you need to contact Buell Customer Service and find out why they don''t have your mailing address. There may have been a typo or something. Did you submit your warranty registration?

I'm attaching a copy of the Owner Notification and the official acknowledgement letter from the feds. Your dealer should be able to resolve this within 48 hours. Note: Notification letter is too large a file to attach . . if you need it drop me a note. |

>>>>Funny Court...I don't see "wash" in that cycle anywhere. LOL. Hahahahaha . . . . you're right. We're getting old. I put about 150 miles on Erik's bike on Saturday . . . it's been through the back roads of Montana, he rode it in the raid to the Museum on Friday night and it's pretty much a daily ride but it's never been washed. . . . covered in mud and bugs. It's always a joke to see who can leave his bike with the least fuel in it! |

I never got the recall info either but the dealer found it in less than 48 seconds! Ok it wasn't that fast but less than 5 min and coincidentally the day before my rubber nut had broken loose when I had taken the screen off to clean it. Moral of the story is cleaning wrecks the bike. This is how mine looks right now without the sweet sticker on it....yet.

Got the windshield recall done today and also an ECM reflash from "x" to "z". So far the only difference is my fan came on while riding and that has only happened once before when it was 95* out. Today was 58*. Hopefully it will stop that as it learns the bike again. Higher mpg's coming hopefully. |
