I tried to search the forums for information, however I'm getting some crazy error message, so please forgive me for starting what might be a redundant thread. None the less, I'm going to ask: anyone have any experience with the Hyperpro lowering kit for the Uly? I have an 06 Uly that thus far I have replaced the stock seat with a later model, lowering me about an inch or so at this point. Having a mere 29" inseam, the seat height is still a bit high for my liking. The information I have on the kit, part #SP-BU12-SSC013 with a retail cost of $319, is that it will further lower my seat height another 25mm, or about an inch. Input I'm looking for on this includes ease of installation (I have a shop installing the kit, should I go ahead with this, but I'd like to be able to give them a heads up for any potential complications); input on the performance upsides, and any downsides (durability, reliability, etc.); information on a new length on the sidestand (I picked up a much shorter than stock stand, measured at about 11.5", and that one looks pretty short, but if anyone has any information I'd be happy to hear it!). Anything else I missed, please feel free to chime in! Thanks, and ride safe! |

And what about the front end? i think lowering the bike should be equal at front and rear to keep the bike balanced. |

You can lower the front end by installing 1" handlebar risers from Precision Engineering and then dropping the triple clamps on the front forks by a similar amount. |

The kit does include new front springs as well as a coil over for the rear shock. I believe it does lower both front and rear in that regard.... |

The Hyperpro kit includes shorter front and rear springs to lower each end an equal amount |

Interesting. Dottrz, have you found a source for the kit in the US? |

FWIW, If I remember correctly, the Hyperpro springs lower the bike by 30mm front and rear. WP also do a set of lower springs, 50mm, but you will need to buy a shock to go with them. Check out this site for a spring seat for the rear shock to lower the bike with a standard spring. http://www.solobuell.com/inter/ |
