Since the 3k mile mark my start button has occasionally given me a scare. 95% of the time a light depression makes it start right up. Once in a great while, however, I have to push it way down to get it to turn over. So I have two questions: 1) Has anyone had this happen? 2) What might the root cause be and if I am stuck on the road someday with it quit working, what might be a sure way to make the signal connect? Pop off the yellow button and use a screw driver? |

Mine did the same thing. Turned out to be a loose battery cable. |

OKC, I had a experience last year where I had to replace the left side control switches because the return spring for the starter button got flattened. i had one shipped out and replaced it for about 20 bucks. In the meantime while it came in I cut one of the wires, removed the start button and used to the jump into the start button hole. Worked good till I got the new switch in. I have also had to push start the big ol sone beach. I think I put it in second or third and gave er hell. Hope this helps ya out. |
