Hey guys I'm in total Contol instructor training down in Georgia first day of trainng I find Lee putting on a strap on knee puck because I'm gettin so low on the uly I'm just begin to drag my knee and the Touratech side stand plate starts to drag then I crashed. Lee had me take it off. The Uly and myself are fine the other piece I got from touratech saved the day it is the oil cooler guard if it wasn't for that piece my oil cooler would have been damaged pretty good.I never thought I would get so low on the ULY: )

Babired - Good to know, I've got both. Hate to get rid of the plate, it's saved me on a couple of occassions from having to rescue the Uly from failing terra firma. Just how leaned over were you ? Glad you're OK. j

I personally don't like that kickstand foot they sell, I found it gets in the way, and prevents the stand from kicking up on its own when moving the bike around the garage.

I think the 09 kickstand will retrofit. It has a longer, rather than wider foot.

Yes it does retrofit, the bike I tried was a 09 that had a 06 stand swapped on, then the Touratech piece added on.

I was draggin my knee then the plate was grinding on the ground in a left 40 foot circle I got too relaxed when doing this and the plate basically washed out the bike. I'll have to post pictures when I get better web access. There is 3 other badwebbers in training with me 2 are from Florida and Mike who knows Glitch. Its pretty cool to have 4 Buells in instructor training. K

Glad to hear the bike is OK. Oh, you too. Wish I could get relaxed enough to drag parts.

No, I didn't have the bags on. I just got a new set from Buell Co. Thank GOD. I made the Total Control instructor training. I graduated tonight start back home tomorrow. That ULY was really put to the test with all of the parking lot riding I did the past 4 days. It is such a durable bike. I'm so glad the training is over! K

Congrats! It is excellent to see people put extra effort into learning for the sake of teaching.

Too bad they are so expensive, the bags make great protective sliders!

I rolled her (Uly)into our hotel room one night while staying in a relatively seedy neighborhood. My wife was jealous ; )

ourdee I got it from TourAtech same place I got the side stand plates. I got the hand guard extensions and off road foot pegs as well. I think the oil cooler guard is the coolest piece they make for the ULY. If you get the foot pegs the space between your levers and pegs shrinks so if you got big FEET.....

The Precision Engineering footpegs work very nicely as well, AND you don't lose that 1" drop the stock pegs have.
