Without a doubt the best item I put on my '08 Ulysses is the XB9 primary gear. I would highly recommend that! |

Just my .02 - if you're considering either a jacket or vest (heated), get the jacket. It's a little more $, but more important than heated arms, you get pigtails to plug gloves into, at the cuffs. When/if you add gloves to the wardrobe (it won't be long, trust me) you don't have to string wires through your sleeves every time you put 'em on. I've been thinking about the fork spring conversion, but will probably wait till fork service time as it's not a huge deal to me at the moment. If you go that route, please let us know your thoughts Lastly - I'd suspect that your windfall is for that dealer only, unless they have an SRL (secondary retail location) - same company, different location. Don't lose all hope, though - I know we order quite a bit of aftermarket stuff where I work, including items from American Sport Bike and others. Those, if you had a credit at our store, would qualify since they're going over our counter |

Hi Jeff. The primary gear change sounds good but will probably wait till later next year. What did the upgrade cost you? Joe, I appreciate your comments on the vest vs jacket. I'll definitely get the jacket based on your comments. Thanks for the heads up. I imagine SMHD will have some type of new year sale that will help my credit go farther. I'll also check on whether or not they have additional partners I can order with. |

I have the parts for the primary conversion and I just ordered the parts for the triple tree and fork spring conversions. I'll do it all at once so this spring I'll get to throw my leg over a completely different beast! Can't wait! The gear reduction is roughly $200.00 from American Sportbike. Here's a link: http://www.advrider.com/forums/attachment.php?atta chmentid=138989&d=1192499369 Have fun with your windfall. I don't know if I'll make badness but will probably be at Buelltoberfest again. |

Hey Greg, thanks for the link. My experience is that Buelltoberfest has had the better weather. At least for the two years I've attended. I'll be interested to hear how you like the new updates. Come on spring! |
