Hmm...I didn't really give anything up, although it delayed some things (mostly random home improvements that aren't worth the money right now since the house's value has likely gone down 40K in the last year... >.<. I suppose I gave up getting a CR to get the Uly. |

My wife got her new Sportster while I rode my 1995 Road King a few more years. Then it was our anniversary, and she had long ago out grown the Sportster so she got a new Road King, given by total surprise in a rigged drawing in front of the HOG chapter, while I rode my 1995 Road King a few more years. Finally I was ready to update my touring status to a Road Glide, but instead I got Joules - built on my birthday! So I guess what goes around comes around but I did give up my new Touring bike. ~jammer |

I sold my DR 350. There wasn't enough room in the garage. It wasn't really a sacrifice. I just knew I'd never ride it again and someone else can enjoy it. I've an MXer for off road duty. |

I gave up summer weekends working around the house and keeping up with all the yard work - now I just hop on the bike. So yeah, I have had to sacrifice something. . |

I gave up 10 lbs. I held off buying until I dipped under 200 lbs. Hadn't seen that weight in a decade or so. And not seen it since <grin> and I will probably do it again when I buy a new X or XT someday. |

Alchemy, Congrats on your weight loss. That is usually a sign of inner strength. Bud, I had a friend that recently got injured. And although many of us here cannot relate directly, kudos to for finding a great outlet for something your head needs, but your knee sometimes objects to. May your head win every battle. |

i might have to give up the uly, to move to daytona.... decisions, decisions! i live in one of the most boring places on the planet and the women here are seriously fugly.... to ugrade to a nicer house, i need to get rid of the harley or the uly.... the harley is a chick magnet, but as much as i ride, it will not do well in the salt air... the uly wont rust as quickly, but it aint pretty and no abs brakes... or i can stay were im at, start drinking, and keep them both.. |

I've been asking for a bit of extra OT. When I 1st decided to buy the Uly, I was going to wait till we were debt-free, figured that would take a bit over a year. We found a really good deal and the always lovely Bon Bon said that debt-free could wait. Tom B |

Werewulf, My dream; take uly to datona....get a trailor to live in with a handicapped ramp so I can park indoors if I'm ever home. Chicks make the bike handle poorly and abs brakes are over rated. Starting to think chicks are over rated. Cheaper house = more gas and oil and tires. On second thought no curves in Datona. |
