Hey Erik, How about batteries instead of the muffler and motor instead of engine. For all you naysayers, it would be real nice to have an electric Buell for daily riding with a very low electric bill. Just think about how light this bike would be and no bitching about heat. Plug it in at night for a few pennies. Probably save a fortune compared to gas. Full torque right from zero rpms upward, that's how electric motors work. No oil changes, primary worries, no fuel pump. Buell should lead the way instead of following on this front. http://www.killacycle.com/ |

I watched the Killacyle run at the AHDRA this year in Woodburn OR. It was truly pretty amazing what that bike would do. A weird quiet for something moving that fast. |

To bad our battery technology isn't up to the task of having a long running electric bike. |

To bad our battery technology isn't up to the task of having a long running electric bike. Amen! Give me a $7000 or less electric motorcycle with a 100 mile range and I'd be all over it. |

Electric bikes are available now but not quite to the point that I would buy one. I'd really like to see Buell make one with the trilogy thing happening. Just like Aeholton, I'd also be all over a 100 mile per charge Buellectric bike. Or even a hybrid Buell if it doubled the mpg. |

I's really hard to beat the energy density of a gallon of gas. Things will change quite a bit once the figure out how to make large alcohol fuel cells. |
