Just got back from the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. Holy crap! This exhibition makes the Cycle World show in the states look like a kindergarten production. There were thousands of vendors! Bikes, ATV's, gear and accessories....hundreds that I'd never heard of! I spent nearly six hours walking and barley saw everything. That said, I think I saw one vendor who had an aftermarket item for the Buell. It was a suspension company (I can't recall the name). Both Touratech and SW-Motech had HUGE displays. I had to ask SW-Motech if they'd ever reconsider manufacturing removable luggage brackets for the Uly. The guy looked at me like I had seven heads when I said the word "Buell." I might as well have asked him if they were considering manufacturing any parts for the Lunar Lander. I was also disappointed that Buell didn't even have the XB12X on display. Only the XB12XT. Of all of the things I saw, the Moto Morini Granpasso was the most exciting. I think I'm in love. Tipsy

Intermot is huge. I think Erik has been there a couple times. And you are right, from what I have seen it dwarfs the IMS show but motorcycling, in Europe, is much bigger than in the USA. |

It's a big world outside our borders that too few ever see, understand, or knows exists... |

Intermot is a great event! I really enjoyed the year that I rode the Uly over from Belgium and spent the day wandering around. I also went to the Paris moto show one year and Intermot is the best moto show that I've ever been too! I got to talk to the engineers from trail tech lighting systems and the guy who designed my riding gear from the Netherlands. The year that I went Touratech had a fully kitted out Uly there but it wasn't with their big display full of BMW's but at least it was there. I hope to make it to Milan next year now that I live in Italy. |

Of course, some have their own reasons for visiting Intermot!http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/intermot-2 008---the-girls.htm |

Wow, that Granpasso is something else! Very interesting... funny how everything looks so clinical and sterile there, even the chicks in plastic waiting to be unwrapped I think I'm gonna go back and listen to that music on the Moto-Morini again, it's great stuff, great post btw! |
