Does anyone use the low seat for the Uly? I am just curious how much difference there is between the low seat and the 07 on seat. According to the buell website it is gel molded for "maximum comfort" but is it worth the 200 plus dollars or do I take my seat to a local upholstery shop? |

Check out this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?142838/386432 Personally I liked the 07 seat better. The Low seat is a tad lower, but I felt it to be very uncomfortable for long rides, vs. I rode from Georgia to NY last fall on the 2007 seat. Now I need to stop posting and get my ass to the post office |

Who knew when we posted those pictures how much mileage we'd get out of that thread! Good thing we did it back when, as the 06 stock seat is now in FL. |

I use the 06 Low Seat. The 07 seat sucks (IMHO). It's not nearly as padded and the front of the seat is as comfortable as straddling a 2x4 and makes my balls go numb. You'll probably spend $200 or so getting the seat the way you want at the upholsterer. You can find the low seat on Ebay. Try it, if you like it, keep it. If you don't, sell it. |

No, Carlos found out he was done growing and figured he may as well let it go rather than continue waiting to get taller! |

We passed our 06 seat to another BadWebber in Florida. Just part of Paying it Forward. Though I must admit, I like Vern's reasoning better! You are so funny. |

For me, the '06 Low seat works much better than the '07-up seat. It places me closer to the air box, which means a more comfortable reach to the bars. I've done long rides on both; and while both are good seats, the Low works better for me. If you find yourself having to push your butt back onto the wide part of the seat regularly, while on a long ride, give the Low a shot. (find someone who'll lend you theirs for a ride. That way, if you don't like it, you won't be out two hundred bucks) |

Check E-Bay item #370086296908. I believe that the seat they are selling is the Buell accessory "low" seat. (maybe someone who's got one can verify from the picture?) Can't beat the price at $75 plus shipping. I was tempted myself.......and I don't even need another seat. |

I use my low seat for local commuting and I like it for its ease of allowing side to side movement for 'spirited' riding. For me it gets uncomfortable on long rides(200+ miles) and two up. I do really like the '06 stock seat for long rides though. Many have said it is the best seat in motorcycling. |

+1 on the '06 low seat. I've been trying to find an '06 stock seat for some time. Obviously I don't know where to look. |

Check E-Bay item #370086296908. That does appear to be the 06 Low Seat. |

Thanks, but I mean (and I think Etennuly means) the '06 stock seat shown at http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?142838/386432 Where do I find that one? |

The picture is the Low seat, but the description and part number are for the 06 seat. |

Hmartin, post an ad in the wanted section of the classifieds. If not, you can buy a new one for $110 at your dealer. |

The ebay item that Ft_bstrd refers to is not the first time I've seen that. Myself and another BWB'er are out some $ because of a '06 low seat with the stock seat's part number. The reason for my question about where to find a '06 stock seat is because, if the low seat actually became standard equipment during the '06 production cycle, is the '06 stock ("tall") seat even available anymore.(?) I just don't want to get burned again. |

Yes it is still available from your dealer. I got a long list of part numbers claiming to be the right seat, but I don't know which one it really is! Again, call you dealer/board sponsor and ask for the 06 seat, they will look it up for you and get you the right one. |
