Omfg, i think i am going to stop posting here. I just got home from work, and the fan on my SS now sounds like a blender full of rocks!

Mine is starting to sound like a rock in a blender too. How hard are these things to change out? Doesn't look too complicated.

My Uly is in the shop right now for blowing the fan fuse when the fan tries to start up.
The first time this happened (at 12,500 miles), the fan was declared dead, and replaced.
Neither fan ever made any unusual noises before it started having problems, but I always hear the "rock in a blender" analogy.

Lime, sounds like your bike is having an electrical gremlin, its possible the fan was fine all along. If your fan was on the way out, you WILL know it.

Mine made the most pitiful sound when it was ready to die. Only took about 45 minutes to swap it out.

The dealers tests showed the fan was faulty, and replacing it DID fix the problem.
At least for 8,000 miles.
