Hey guys, been a long time since I have been in here. Hope everyone is doing good. My Brother is having problems with his Uly where he keeps blowing headlights. Can someone remind me of what the cause of this was. I remember it happening to others, just don't remember a cause since it never happened on mine. I told him to check the wire harness around the head for rubbed through spots, but wasn't sure if something else was a culprit. I don't think it was VR because I never blew a light when my VR or stator went bad. Send me a PM if you know what the cause is. Thanks, Joel (Message edited by jmhinkle on July 29, 2008) |

Excessive voltage, vibration (mounting) or poor quality bulb. Photo of failed bulb? I replaced a failed low beam in my Uly at 12k miles. Appeared to be caused by vibration. |

Look at the ground wire directly behind the headlights that goes into the steering head. Mine broke off after making the headlight flash for a couple of days. |
