So I put NGK DCPR9EIX 2316 Iridium plugs (bought from American Sport Bike) in my Uly not long ago then took it in for the 5,000 mile service and some warranty work. Picked it up today and asked the dealer where are my Iridium plugs? They replaced them with stock plugs and they said they must have tossed my old plugs! Needless to say I'm not happy! Did you give them a heads up when you dropped it off? |

I was always very satisfied with the work my dealer did. It's always the same mechanic that works on my bike and I have absolutely no beef with him. It's his boss who charged me €102,- for front brakepads ex labor. Excuse me??? Original Buell pads was the answer. I taking my bike somewhere else now. |

Even according to the service manual the plugs are not supposed to be replaced until 10k miles. If you weren't having issues, I don't understand why they would have pulled them. |

60 bucks for the service manual will save you this type to grief. Do your own service except for warranty work. Not only did you over pay them but they didn't even live up to your request of saving the parts. They should replace them. Talk to the owner of the dealership and tell him a new set of Iridiums will keep you as a customer. |

Some tech in the shop probably wanted the nice plugs! |

I'm running $25 Torque Master spark plugs and race K&N air filter. I always make sure these words are on the work order: "Do not change spark plugs nor air filter" when bringing the bike in for service. Once bitten, twice shy as the saying goes. I haven't had a problem with them putting in el-cheapo HD plugs since. |

Once again, the HD dealerships prove that they're good for one thing in the Buell community: Selling Buells. After that, never go back. |
