Hate to hear it. We had a police officer die on his Harley this past weekend. Puts my little accident in perspective. |

Name doesn't ring a bell, but there aren't many Buellers out there. Godspeed. |

Used to live in Chattanooga, very popular ride and often has section were people opened up a little too much. Police generally patrolled it pretty heavily. The corners are tight and are poorly signed and it did generally drop off over the guardrail. It is a shame for anyone to go that way and especially at that age. My thoughts to his family and friends! |

I cant say I know the name. The locals talk about how many have died on the road. Has a bit of a reputation. There are handful of crosses/shrines on the road. Suck creek is still one of my favorite rides. Reminds me of wolf pen gap with alot more traffic. |

Barker, is that the run you and I did last november? If so, I can see why it claims so many. |

Made me think, when they mentioned the brand of motorcycle in the article: Here in the Washington, DC area, the local radio station that provides regular traffic reports (WTOP) always mentions when an accident involves a motorcycle. Am I overthinking this, or is that a subtle form of "judgment". I just get the vibe of "Oh yeah, another motorcyclist crashed - they're crazy to ride those things." Knowing that the accident involves a motorcycle doesn't seem to add to the usefulness of the traffic report - just to the potential for gruesome imagery. Kind of like when the local TV news reports on a bad accident: "The crash involved a pickup truck and a Mercedes-Benz." Horrors! A luxury car was damaged! |

How about the end where the last line mentions he had a helmet on. For Pete's sake he fell 150ft...helmet was the last of his issues. |
