Rode in some very high winds a couple weeks ago. 113 miles 3.5 gallons. About 32 MPG |

Well, if you were riding ~70 MPH with a 35 MPH head wind, it would be for all purposes like riding at 105 MPH. I'd say your mileage is pretty impressive for that kind of speed. |

when riding down the super slab yesterday, i checked the mileage one time it was 41.5 and most of that was at around 73. not great but it won't cause me to get rid of it. (Message edited by nevrenuf on May 04, 2008) |

I did a little mileage test today on my XT. 100 miles of pure slab with empty bags and topcase (and 210 lb. rider) = 46mpg. I'm still riding conservatively - nothing over 5k RPM yet but I don't expect the mileage to improve significantly from this point unless I ride without the bags and topcase. |

This time I filled up with 91 octane and no alcohol, so the pump said. That is what surprised me, I expected better with non ethanol. (Message edited by bertotti on May 04, 2008) |
