New XT owner here (and new Buell owner) and was wondering about a normal engine idle setting for the Ulysses. My XT rpm level runs about 1100 or so in neutral (which I have read is normal), but when I release the clutch in first gear I don't even have to roll on the throttle for the bike to start moving. Is this normal for vtwins/Buells? My old sportbike would immediately stall without getting any gas. Thanks... |

heheh Don't you just love the torque on the Uly? |

Two things are at play. Buells have a lot of flywheel mass compared to other bikes and Very few bikes make the off idle torque of a Buell. |

Yup, my 08 XT is the same. It's pretty easy starting off, even on hills. |
