Someone posted yesterday on ADVRider about the Buell dealer in Albequerqe has 4 new 06 Uly's. Blowing them out at $7500. At that price it is almost worth a fly and ride. Rethy |

But still, i wouldn't touch an 06 again at any price. Maybe a 07, but i really want a 08. |

"But still, i wouldn't touch an 06 again at any price" I have an 2006 XB12X and I wouldn't even think about selling it! It is by far the best motorcycle I've ever owned or ridden. |

Yeah so what's so bad about having an 06? Mine has been great and still going strong! |

Mine to and I have the same sentiment as Cyclonedon. I guess anyone can get a lousy one in a bunch. I hope you have better luck with your 08. |

the o6 at a good price is still a great bargain, get the ECMSpy and do the treadmarks fork/triple tree upgrade and call it good. Ride the hell out of it. There is an 2006 with a lightning tail on it that has me jonesing and looking at BIG bad & DIRTY. (all my parts would come with me) |

The 06 is hardly a substandard bike, but given the significant upgrades that the model received in 07 and again in 08, it would have to be "bought right" so to speak. At least some of the 08 mods can be easily fitted to the 07 bike. The 06 is sort of on its own in that respect. |

Called the dealer in ABQ about the $7500 bikes. They add on a hidden $400 "document fee", even though I was out-of-state and doing the documents in Texas. So I just wound up buying from a fairly-local source. By the time I counted the $400 fee and a $200 plane ride, I was losing money in New Mexico. Marty |
