I am replacing my stock muffler with Odie's. I took the stock muffler off tonight and saw that the manual calls for a new front muffler strap. Could someone get that part number for me? Also, If I didn't remove the muffler cable from the bike and am re-using the same cable, do I need to get the special part that Buell recommends using to install the cable? It's a tube or something like that. Any tips on this project? Thanks, AR |

Andrejs, Unless that clamp is trashed, use it again. I took my muffler off at least 4 or 5 times before the clamp cracked. Then I welded it! I do have replacements, but I just didn't feel the need to replace until broken. So far so good. Mike |

Oh, sorry I forgot your other question. No special tool to guide the wire. Just hook it up before installing the muffler, then slip the muffler in place. Mike (Message edited by Bugnut on January 17, 2008) |

While on the subject of that front strap, I find in very difficult to torque properly. It seems like it will continue to stretch / compress the muffler until it breaks. Any hints on what I'm doing wrong? |

Or, you can get one from here http://www.deepblueyachtsupply.com/series.aspx?id= 127 for about 1/4 the cost of a factory clamp. |

I believe it was the 7.5" Just so you know the front clamp IS smaller, but I didn't replace it so I don't know the length. |
