Folks: Fall is approaching and then of course winter. I was wondering if anybody has developed any new windshields for the Uly. I followed the threads last winter and early spring, but was wonding if there is anything new on the market. I tried a CeeBailey and the holes did not line up properly so I sent it back for a refund last fall. Also seeing as how it has been another year those with windshields (other than the tall buell shield)how has your shield performed and how tall are you and what brand are you using? Thanks |

I'm using the 3/16" 4'x10' plexi-glass sheet method. The B.A.W. premiered last fall and did its job well. Being the size of a small barn door it kept cold, rain, nasty bugs and such off me during the cold months. However it was a little cumbersome in that it turned my sport bike into an SUV. It will be cut down and further modified this season. I'm trying to reach the optimum balance between size and complete function. I have tried the Buell tall and it makes my helmet shake so bad I cannot see at 55 mph. Everybody sits differently and is built differently. Also they have different seats and helmets. There are so many variables that the only windshield that fits almost everyone is the Buell stock one. |

I tried the Buell tall and the Zero Gravity windshields. Both were too noisy for me. If I stretched my head like Dino in the Flintstone mobile it was OK. I've gone back to the stock Buell. A better fitting,(read less noisy), helmet, custom earplugs, and a quality leather jacket allow me to embrace the wind. (6'1" & '07 seat) I think if Zero Gravity made a windshield about 2 inches shorter they might have something. I tried to modify mine, but destroyed it in the process. |

Here's something that would work great if you are under 6 foot tall. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/212532.html#POST695514 But this is what I've been using for over a year. It's a modified Cee Bailey16+ Euro-Cut http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/213105.html#POST700727 |

I use a Cee Baileys 16" windshield in the winter but I have to warn you that you will get a lot of wind buffing on the top of your helmet when ridding! But I only use it in the winter months, I use the Buell tall windshield the rest of the time. |

I use the Zero Gravity in the colder months or on long trips on the interstate. It acts exactly like the stock shield for noise and clean airflow, but it moves the wind blast up and out just enough so that my head and arms don't feel like they're being ripped off on the interstate. Absolutely no turbulence at all. I'm 5'11 with longer torso if that helps. |

I use the parabellum 28"... I am 5'-9" with a 29" inseam and I get good protection with this shield. http://www.parabellum.com/ Also see this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/241610.html?1163966304 Dickc |

I use the Zero Gravity in the colder months or on long trips on the interstate. Exactly the same here. Except the Zero Gravity seems a touch tall, noise-wise, if I am using the '07 seat. About right if I have the '06 seat though. (6'2" for reference) |
