I'm curious how hot the headers are actually getting. I was thinking about the copper ceramic coating from jet hot. Just about 200 for header and muffler in the new copper color. 185 for the sterling header with muffler. I don't much like the bright silver but the copper color is kind of cool to me.

So is a 1100 or 1300 degree rating good enough? I would hate to spend that kind of money and have it peel because it got to hot. I imagine the rear is hotter.

That is a cool link. Thanks I have never seen mine any time but night. I never paid that much attention to it during the day when it was hot. I wonder if it is visible then?
